Rutgers–New Brunswick Student Affairs Website
In January 2019, Rutgers University–New Brunswick’s Division of Student Affairs launched a new editorial initiative. As the associate director of marketing and communications, I was charged with spearheading the division’s storytelling efforts while overseeing a team consisting of a full-time content marketing specialist and interns specializing in photography, videography, writing, and social media management.
Centering stories around student affairs’ core values of inclusion, learning, integrity, tradition and pride, and students and community, my team began crafting a cohesive narrative that promotes the division’s commitment to students’ personal growth and professional development.
Assisting with a website redesign and overhauling our social media strategy, I was able to put my team in a position to best leverage our newly-created content. Within the first six months, the divisional website has seen a 30% increase in monthly users and a 35% increase in monthly site traffic. Student affairs’ social media channels have seen a similar uptick with average engagement up 117% and average reach up 75% on Facebook alone.
